The opening two matches of the Westfield FFA Cup 2015 have been run and won in Football Far North Coast.
Lismore Thistles and Alstonville FC have become the first two teams to taste success in this year’s Westfield FFA Cup.
The Thistles recorded a 3-0 victory over Ballina SC while Alstonville ran out 3-1 winners against Lennox Head FC.
The Thistles led 1-0 at the break before scoring twice after the interval to seal the result and move into the next round.
Meanwhile at Skennars Head 1, all of the goals came in the opening 45 minutes as Alstonville managed to get past Lennox Head.
On Sunday Goonellabah take on Lismore Workers at Weston Park 1. There are also matches in Queensland and Victoria over the weekend as the Westfield FFA Cup 2015 Preliminary Rounds kick into gear.
