Gold Coast goal machine's ominous FFA Cup vow

Everything he touches turns to goals. And former Sydney FC player turned Gold Coast City FC goal machine Jarrod Kyle isn't done yet.

On Wednesday night, the red-hot marksman took his Westfield FFA Cup tally this season to nine in four games with a hat-trick in his side's 3-1 win over the Western Knights at the Mallawa Sporting Complex.

He's also scored ten league goals.

“I'm having the best season I've had in my career,” Kyle told Fox Sports afterwards.

“I just try to focus on my own game and let it all come.

“We've got a great bunch of lads so that goes a long way too.

“The boys played fantastically.

“They give me the chances and I'm just there to finish them off.

“We're really stoked to get through,” he said.

WE’RE NOT DONE YET

With their place in the hat for the round-of-16 confirmed, the boys from the Glitter Strip are now keen to go even deeper into the competition.

“We're taking this Cup seriously,” declared Kyle.

“If we come up against [Hyundai] A-League opposition we'll prepare as best we can.

“We'll do our tactical stuff and video analysis, just like they will do.

“This year we've got the maturity in the squad to go a long way.

“We're looking forward to the next round,” he said.
