NAB Golden Goals cash prizes for member fed clubs

The good folks at NAB love the Westfield FFA and have given Member Federation clubs added incentive to find the back of the net against Hyundai A-League opposition in the Cup.

Starting tomorrow night in the Round of 32 MD 2, thanks to the NAB Golden Goals initiative, any semi-professional club which scores a goal against a Hyundai A-League side will earn $2500.

Last year NAB donated $10,000 to Member Federation Clubs for goals scored against A-League opposition, with Edgeworth Eagles, Darwin Olympic and Rockdale City (two goals) amongst the money.

All they have to do us score a goal during regular or extra time (not in shootouts though) and the money will make its way to their respective club.

Victorian PS4 NPL club Green Gully have the first chance to earn the money when they host Central Coast Mariners on Tuesday night, while Western Australian club Floreat Athena face Melbourne City.

On Wednesday night it’s Queensland’s Redland United who are in with a shot of a cash boost, up against defending A-League champions Adelaide United.

What a great opportunity for these member federation clubs to earn some extra money that could go towards things like improving facilities and buying equipment for their youngsters.

How good is that?
