There was a glut of goals scored in South Australia's Preliminary Rounds of the Westfield FFA Cup, with new Caltex Socceroo Riley McGree's former club Gawler smashing six past Mount Barker.

A whopping 55 were scored across nine games in Round 3 matches, with Fulham United FC’s 9-1 win over Apollo SC the biggest winning margin.

There was also big wins for Gawler SC, Northern Demons, Adelaide University SC, Western Strikers and Renmark Olympic SC.

In tighter affairs, Adelaide Cobras squeezed through to the next round with a thrilling 3-2 extra-time win over Mercedes Old Collegians.

International SC also required extra time to account for Rostrevor Old Collegians 4-3, with scores locked at 3-3 at the end of regular time.
