The Westfield FFA Cup Final 2016 is on track to break the competition’s attendance record based on the current ticket sales for the match, Football Federation Australia (FFA) has confirmed.
As of 9am this morning, more than 10,000 tickets had been purchased for the showpiece event on Wednesday 30 November at AAMI Park that will see Melbourne City FC or Sydney FC become the third club to win the popular nationwide knockout competition.

Tickets start from just $25 for adults and $5 for children, while members of both clubs were able to take advantage of a special discounted priority period.
The current Westfield FFA Cup attendance record is 16,124 which was set at Coopers Stadium in Adelaide for the inaugural Cup Final between Adelaide United and Perth Glory.
Head of Hyundai A-League & Westfield W-League, Greg O’Rourke, says the strong early ticket sales highlight the growing stature of the Westfield FFA Cup Final. Good seats are still available but selling fast.
“This is a chance for two clubs to win a piece of silverware. For Melbourne City it would be their first ever trophy and for Sydney FC a first title since their Hyundai A-League championship in 2010, so there is everything to play for and ticket sales to this point reflect the interest and excitement of fans from both clubs,” said O’Rourke.
“As we have seen in the past two editions, there is something special about the atmosphere of a Westfield FFA Cup Final, and with two in form teams reaching the decider, it promises to be another memorable night.”
“There are still a host of tickets in excellent viewing areas still available so we would encourage fans to secure their ticket now to witness history one way or the other as we expect to see a spike in ticket sales in the days preceding the match.”
Further adding to the allure of the match is that Melbourne City’s star Caltex Socceroo Tim Cahill will be attempting to win his first Cup Final at the fourth attempt having been on the losing side in three previous Cup Finals (two FA Cup Finals and one Chinese FA Cup Final).
