Adelaide City took the final SA spot in the FFA Cup Round of 32 with a 2-0 win over MetroStars at VALO Football Centre on Wednesday night.
Two second half goals from Nic Bucco and half-time substitute Jo Costa secured a somewhat comfortable victory for the Black and Whites.
The City celebrations included a t-shirt which read "Alajj Zeppy," - a tribute to club legend Joe Camilleri. No doubt, this win was for him.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday night Adelaide Olympic booked their place in the FFA Cup Round of 32 with a 1-0 win over 2020 League Champions Campbelltown City at a wet VALO Football Centre.
Michael Cittadini’s early second-half strike was enough to secure the win, while the scoreline somewhat flatters Campbelltown City who just could not get going tonight against a fierce Olympic side.
It will now be a repeat of the 2019 Federation Cup Final between City and Olympic next month, before they both take part in the FFA Cup Final Rounds.
