Blockbuster FFA Cup weekend in Newcastle

Two spots in the Westfield FFA Cup round of 32 will be up for grabs in Newcastle this weekend with the final eight teams in Northern NSW set to battle it out at the Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility.

The ‘Final Eight’ fixtures will see PlayStation® 4 National Premier Leagues sides Adamstown Rosebud FC, Broadmeadow Magic FC and Edgeworth FC, NEWFM 1st Division teams Valentine FC and West Wallsend SFC, Newcastle’s Zone League 1 club side, Jesmond FC as well as South Armidale FC and Coffs City United FC. 

The winners of the ‘Final Eight’ matches played on Saturday 20th June will progress to the ‘Final Four’ fixtures to be played on Sunday 21st June. All ‘Final Four’ fixtures will be drawn from the hat and the two winners will automatically qualify to represent NNSWF in the Westfield FFA Cup Round of 32.

“The Westfield FFA Cup has been an absolutely fantastic initiative, it has been one of the FFA’s key strategic priorities to try and link the grassroots with the Hyundai A-League and we are looking forward to giving our clubs the opportunity to do that,” Northern NSW Football Chief Executive Officer David Eland said.

“After 70 games and more than 400 goals we are down to the final eight clubs and by Sunday afternoon we will know the two clubs that will represent Northern NSW Football in the Round of 32 for this year’s Westfield FFA Cup."

‘Final Eight’ Fixtures - Saturday 20th June

10am Jesmond FC v West Wallsend FC

12pm Valentine FC v Adamstown Rosebud FC

2pm Coffs City United FC v Edgeworth FC

4pm South Armidale FC v Broadmeadow Magic FC

The ‘Final Four’ fixtures are scheduled for 10am and 12pm on Sunday 21st June at the Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility.
