Cooma Tigers become Capital Football FFA Cup Round of 32 representative

Cooma Tigers FC have become Capital Football's FFA Cup Round of 32 representative following a thrilling penalty shoot-out in the Federation Cup Final on Saturday.

Locked at 0-0 after an intense 120 minutes against Canberra FC, it was the Tigers who prevailed 4-2 in the shoot-out.

Despite the scoreline, the game was end-to-end and full of chances, providing plenty of entertainment in the tense final.

There was a fog delay at the end of the 90 minutes, but when the game restarted, it was Canberra FC who had the advantage.

And they almost sealed the game with the last chance of the contest, but a header in front of goal went over the crossbar.

Penalties were needed to decide it, and after Canberra FC missed their first two spot-kicks, Cooma capitalised to seal the shoot-out 4-2.

It will be the Tigers' first appearance on the national stage. The draw for the Round of 32 takes place on Wednesday 26 June and will be live on Fox Sports.
