Cup surprises in SA

White City, Croydon Kings and Adelaide City have stayed alive in their pursuit of a Westfield FFA Cup berth after three huge clashes in South Australia on Saturday.

There was high drama at Frank Mitchell Park as White City sprung a surprise beating MetroStars 1-0.

The MetroStars, who already have a spot in the last 32 after winning last year’s National NPL title, had former A-League player Adam van Dommele sent off midway through the first half.

White City eventually wore them down with Lochie Barr’s second half goal enough to send them through to the final four in South Australia.
