There was no fairytale for Borroloola Cyclones in Darwin on Wednesday night as they bowed out of the Westfield FFA Cup while Cup games continued across the country.
The all-indigenous side from the Gulf of Carpentaria were made to pay for a sluggish start, losing 7-0 at Darwin Football Stadium.
Impressive Hellenic striker Geoffry Lino proved too hot to handle for Borroloola, bagging a hat-trick inside the first 20 minutes on his way to five for the match.
Mat McRoberts netted the other two as Hellenic’s superior speed, quality and big-game experience came to the fore.
But the Cyclones were far from disgraced.
