Only one PlayStation® 4 NPL Queensland Brisbane-based club can qualify for the Westfield FFA Cup Round of 32 following today’s final Brisbane Zone Qualifying Draw.
The random draw for the final two rounds of qualifying matches was conducted this morning by Football Brisbane, and sees the three remaining PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland clubs battling for a single place in the national Round of 32.
Brisbane Zone Qualifying Round 6 will deliver a blockbuster all-PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland match-up between in-form Brisbane Strikers and the undefeated Moreton Bay United at Perry Park.
The two sides played out a nail-biting 1-all draw when they met earlier this season in PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland.
On the bayside, Redlands United will host third-tier Trophy Superstore Premier League outfit Ipswich Knights at Cleveland Showgrounds.
The Red Devils will look to build on their last Westfield FFA Cup start upset against Olympic FC, while Knights will be eager to claim their second straight PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland scalp after eliminating Western Pride in the previous round.
The winners of those matches will then play-off in Brisbane Zone Qualifying Round 7 to secure one of two places for Brisbane Zone clubs in the Round of 32.
The opposing half of the draw features four community clubs from Football Brisbane’s third and fourth tier competitions.
Trophy Superstore powerhouse Lions FC will host Peninsula Power, while Capital One outfits Pine Rivers and North Pine will also play-off.
The winners will then clash in Round 7 and deliver Football Brisbane community competition its first ever qualifier to the national Round of 32.
If Lions FC progress in their half of the draw, it will mark the club’s first competitive match on the national stage since 1988 - their last season in the former National Soccer League.
