Eight-goal Easter Cup cracker in WA

It was an enthralling Easter in WA with 16 Westfield FFA Cup matches played over the Monday public holiday – including an eight-goal cracker won in a shootout by Mandurah City.

It took a dramatic penalty shootout for Mandurah City to get past Swan United after a 4-4 draw in extra time.

Meanwhile, two goals in two second half minutes by Nick Crerand saw Armadale come from behind to beat Shamrock Rovers Perth 2-1, while a Gustavo Giron Marulanda hat-trick enabled Bayswater City beat Busselton 5-0, thereby putting an end to what might have been a huge Cup upset.

Stirling Lions saw off ECU Joondalup 2-0 with goals from Lawrence Shuruma and ex-Red Teeboy Kamara, while ex-Perth Glory midfielder Steven McGarry bagged a goal in Gwelup Croatia’s 6-0 rout of Cracovia.

Reece Vittiglia scored a hat-trick and missed a penalty as Perth SC beat Floreat Athena 3-0, Cockburn City hit 11 in their massive win over North Lake and Subiaco AFC edged out a seven goal thriller over Kingsley 4-3.
