One of Melbourne's most famous clubs, the Lions are making their national round debut in this year's edition.
And to make their maiden showing on the Round of 32 stage even more special, they'll be coming up a very familiar foe: Moreland Zebras, the club with whom Bulleen merged with in 1997.

This season, the Lions are pushing hard for the NPL 2 Victoria title, but the mighty maroon and gold also have their sights set on writing a proud new chapter in the club's history book: an FFA Cup appearance.

History
Established in 1974 under the Veneto Club, Bulleen joined the Victoria Soccer Federation's North Division, climbed through the second division, and won promotion to the first division for the first time in 1982.
Under the tutelage of former Caltex Socceroo Fausto Tarquinino, Bulleen achieved admission into the Metropolitan League, and the club would soon win the 1987 Division 1 Championship and gain entry to the Victoria Premier League.

They finished minor premiers and champions in 1993, and merged with Brunswick Zebras and Box Hill to become Bulleen Inter Kings in 1997. The club boast a high number of junior registrations, and joined the newly formed NPL Victoria in 2014.

Whether it be in America, Iceland, England, Thailand, New Zealand, Sweden and Australia, Ben Everson has scored goals in all corners of the globe, and lots of them.
The experienced English striker, 32, joined the Lions in October 2018 off the back of a super season for Dandenong City, where he scored 15 goals in 28 appearances.
An experienced, hard-working forward, Everson will be crucial to Bulleen's chances of getting into the Round of 16. And from there, who knows?
