The Westfield FFA Cup Round of 16 kicks off on Wednesday night, so how have the nine remaining Member Federation clubs been faring since their Round of 32 victories?

Lost 4-0 at home to Bonnyrigg White Eagles (match report)
Needing a point to make the top five and play finals, Rockdale’s dreams were dashed by Bonnyrigg. The White Eagles led 3-0 after 15 minutes and there was no way back for Paul Reid’s team as a late Robbie Younis goal made it a forgettable final round at home for Rockdale.

Defeated Sydney United 58 FC 1-0 at home (match report)
A second-half bomb by Harris Gaitatzis was enough for Olympic to ease past fellow Round of 16 combatants at Belmore Sports Ground.

PS4 NPL NSW Men’s 1 Elimination Final - 23/08/15
Defeated South Coast Wolves 2-0 at Lambert Park (match report)
Olympic put in a classy, controlled performance against South Coast Wolves FC to progress in the finals series. Goals in the first and second halves from Dimitri Hatzimouratis and then Harris Gaitatzis set the sides apart.

Lions FC were away to Capalaba in the final round and having already sewn up the Premiership, maybe they already had one eye on their Round of 16 encounter against Perth Glory as they suffered a 2-0 defeat in what was just their second loss of the season.

Palm Beach SC

The goal came courtesy of veteran Kristian Rees in 84th minute but it was too little too late after they were staring at a two goal deficit after just 20 minutes.

Lost 2-1 away to Brisbane Strikers (match report)
Roman Hofmann scored a late consolation for the Sharks but it wasn’t enough to prevent a second straight defeat for the Gold Coast club, significantly denting their ambitions of a top four finish.

PS4 NPL QLD Round 21 - 15/08/15
Defeated Moreton Bay United 2-1 at home (match report)
Matt Jones delivered the decisive goal for the hosts early in the second half after Sharks’ Roman Hofmann and Jets’ Charles Mendy traded goals in the opening stanza.

PS4 NPL QLD Catch up Round 15 - 19/08/15
Drew 0-0 at home with Western Pride FC (match report)
The host’s went into the match without skipper Justyn McKay and struggled to find their passing rhythm throughout much of the contest, although Sharks gloveman Shane Viitakangas kept his fifth clean sheet for this season.

PS4 NPL QLD Round 22 - 22/08/15
Defeated FNQ Heat 3-2 away (match report)
Nikola Mirkovic’s second league goal of 2015 just minutes from full-time secured a 3-2 win over FNQ Heat. Sharks took a two goal lead inside ten minutes courtesy of Jack Boxell and Justyn McKay before Heat stormed back late in the contest to level terms courtesy of Alex Smith and Jamie Gosling. While the win temporarily gave Palm Beach a chance for a top four finish, that was extinguished the following day as Olympic FC beat Western Pride to cement the last finals sport.

Despite being out of the finals race, Palm Beach SC continues a hectic schedule with two catch up fixtures before they face the Wanderers, with away clashes against Brisbane Roar Youth (Wednesday 26/08/15) and Brisbane City (Saturday 29/08/15).

A double from Wooding gave them a 2-1 half time lead and further goals from van Dommele and Rocky Callisto was enough to see off Pirates.

Defeated Modbury Jets 2-0 away
The goal scorers from MetroStars’ fantastic Round of 32 victory over Blacktown City were at it again as Rocky Callisto and Jonathan Negus both found the back of the net to beat Modbury Jets in the final round of the season.

In a battle between two Round of 16 entrants, an action packed second half saw goals from Marcus Shroen and Theo Markelis which was enough to secure the three points for Hume City.

Drew 2-2 at home with Green Gully (match report)
A late equaliser from substitute Reuben Way earned the Bergers a point in a 2-2 draw with Green Gully SC.

PS4 NPL Victoria Round 26 - 23/08/15
Defeated Dandenong Thunder 5-2 at home (match report)
Steven Pace netted a hat-trick as Heidelberg United ended the season with a convincing and confidence building win as they entered the finals in 3rd spot while condemning Dandenong Thunder to being relegated.

Shaun Timmins opened the scoring late on after Nick Hegarty’s corner into the area and Theo Markelis would double the advantage moments later to send Hume into their Elimination Final against Melbourne Knights with winning form.

A hat-trick to Jacob Colosimo and further strikes from Matthew Sanders and youngster Dean Campelj secured all three points for the visitors with Mirjan Pavlovic’s first-half goal proving to be mere consolation for the Cannons.

PS4 NPL Victoria Round 26 – 23/08/15
Lost 3-2 away to Bentleigh Greens (match report)
A Dean Piemonte second half brace cancelled out Chris Lucas’ double before Bentleigh’s Luke Pilkington nodded home the winner in the 85th minute. The result means the Cannons have won just one of their past six league games. It’s not ideal but as they proved against FNQ Heat in the Round of 32, anything can happen in the Cup.

Of the Westfield FFA Cup Round of 16 matches, Adelaide United v Sydney FC and Rockdale City Suns v Melbourne Victory will be LIVE on FOX SPORTS 505, while the other six encounters will be streamed online at www.foxsports.com.au/football/ffa-cup/ffacupondemand and Apple TV via FOX SPORTS Now.

All Round of 16 matches will kick-off at 7.30pm AEST.
