FFA Cup Round 5 fixture: Oakleigh Cannons FC v Preston Lions FC

Football Australia and Football Victoria are pleased to announce that the postponed FFA Cup Preliminary Round 5 fixture between Oakleigh Cannons FC and Preston Lions FC will be played on Tuesday, May 25, 7:30pm kick off at Lakeside Stadium.

In response to high interest in the fixture, the relocation to Lakeside Stadium will allow more of our football community to attend this highly anticipated match.

Football Australia CEO, James Johnson, celebrated the announcement. 

“The FFA Cup is a truly national and uniting community competition, with clubs from all tiers of Australian football having the opportunity to compete against one another.”

“Oakleigh Cannons and Preston Lions have both performed well to reach this stage of this year’s competition. This forthcoming fixture promises to be a thrilling tie, with both clubs seeking to continue their journey towards the FFA Cup 2021 Final Rounds, which will commence in early August.

Football Victoria CEO, Kimon Taliadoros is looking forward to what promises to be one of the drawcard fixtures of the 2021 tournament.

“The FFA Cup has already delivered so many magic moments in 2021. It’s a tournament that the Australian football community has truly embraced over the years. We look forward to another exciting fixture as we progress through the qualifying rounds.”

The event will be a fully ticketed match, with tickets on sale from Tuesday 18 May, 2021 at EventBrite. 

Tickets are $10 for Adults, $7 for Juniors aged 15 years and under (including fees).

Gates open 6.00pm for a 7.30pm kick-off.

Lakeside Stadium is a cash-free venue. Eftpos is available at the facility for food and beverage purchases.
