FFA Cup SEQ Round 4 to feature some mouthwatering inter-zone clashes

The 2019 FFA Cup is now in full swing and Round 4 for the South East Queensland (SEQ) region is set to get underway tomorrow, with 48 teams from SEQ competing in 24 matches across Queensland.

Round 4 is full of fascinating match ups with the entrance of National Premier Leagues (NPL) Queensland and Football Queensland Premier League (FQPL) teams to the competition.

Eight Football Brisbane teams will face off as Taringa Rovers take on Logan Metro, New Farm United play Grange Thistle, Redlands United host AC Carina and Samford Rangers compete against Brisbane Athletic.

There will also be a battle of the zones as Football Brisbane’s Bethania Rams host Palm Beach FC from Football Gold Coast and Clairvaux FC face Nambour Yandina United from Sunshine Coast Football, along with Surfers Paradise Apollo from Football Gold Coast taking on Maroochydore FC from Sunshine Coast Football.

A handful of community teams will face NPL and FQPL teams in Round 4; NPL Queensland ladder leaders Peninsula Power will host Caboolture FC from Football Brisbane, while Olympic FC will face Sunshine Coast Football’s Gympie United.

For the FQPL teams, it’s Mitchelton FC taking on North Star FC from Football Brisbane, Sunshine Coast Wanderers facing fellow Sunshine Coast side Kawana FC and Ipswich Knights hosting Football Gold Coast’s Coomera Colts.

NPL Queensland teams will also go head to head with FQPL teams in Round 4 as the two competitions meet, with Brisbane Strikers facing Souths United, SWQ Thunder playing Wolves FC, Eastern Suburbs coming up against Southside Eagles and Lions FC hosting Capalaba FC.

NPL Queensland teams will meet for a number of inter-zone clashes, including Gold Coast Knights hosting Sunshine Coast FC and Brisbane City FC taking on Gold Coast United.

You can watch the Peninsula Power v Caboolture FC clash on the FQ Facebook page and the Football Brisbane Facebook page on Tuesday, 9 April at 7:30pm.
