Round 1 of the FFA Cup South Australia draw was conducted at 11.30am today at Football South Australia headquarters, Coopers Stadium.

A total of 54 teams nominated to compete in the FFA Cup South Australia Preliminary Rounds for 2020. Thirty-five teams from the Football SA Senior Men’s Competition, 11 teams from the South Australian Amateur Soccer League and 8 teams from the Collegiate Soccer League.

Adelaide United is not eligible to participate in the South Australian Preliminary Rounds as they have already qualified as an A-League team.

Today’s Round 1 draw featured all State League 1 teams (12), all State League 2 teams (12) and all nominated affiliated association teams (19).

One National Premier League team was drawn to bring the total number of teams competing in the first round to 44. The ten remaining NPL teams received a bye and progress straight through to Round 2.
