As the FFA Cup competition heats up across the state, this weekend will bring more Cup action with 25 fixtures to be played in Round 3 for the South East Queensland qualification zone.

Inter-zone clashes
Following their 6-0 Round 2 win over Tallebudgera Valley FC, Gympie United will be hoping to make it two from two against Gold Coast sides as Palm Beach SC make the 522km round trip up the coast for a Round 3 encounter.
After a bye in Round 2 of the FFA Cup, fellow Gold Coast side Robina City SC will travel to the Sunshine Coast to take on Buderim Wanderers, while Maroochydore FC and Beerwah Glasshouse United FC host Brisbane-based sides UQFC and Bayside United FC respectively.
A host of Football Brisbane teams will welcome opponents from the Gold Coast as Slacks Creek host Nerang SC, Pine Hills clash with Coomera SC and Western Spirit welcome Burleigh Heads.
Kangaroo Point Rovers meanwhile will head out west to Toowoomba-based Willowburn FC, while Narangba Eagles on Brisbane’s north side welcome SWQ’s West Wanderers for an inter-zone match-up.
Local rivalries
Redcliffe PCYC Dolphins won’t have to travel far for their Round 3 match when they take the 17 minute trip to neighbouring club Brighton Bulldogs this Saturday, while Grange Thistle host fellow Football Brisbane side North Pine after a bye in Round 2 of the Cup competition.
Across town, Logan Metro will host fellow City of Logan-based side Jimboomba United FC while Southport SC welcome Kingscliff Wolves FC to Ashmore Village Park for an all Football Gold Coast Round 3 clash.
