FFA Cup ticket surge as fan fever takes hold

Big crowds are set to flock to stadia around Australia as the final Westfield FFA Cup match day in the Round of 32 takes place tonight.

The strong interest and ticket uptake for tonight’s matches is further evidence that the Westfield FFA Cup is continuing to capture the imagination of the country’s sporting public.

Ticketing details for all four matches can be found at www.theffacup.com.au/tickets.

As an example, in Wollongong, over 6000 tickets have been sold for tonight’s highly anticipated feature FOX SPORTS broadcast match between the Wollongong Wolves and Sydney FC in MD 4.

Wollongong Wolves Coach Jacob Timpano, who will come up against his former side after winning a Hyundai A-League championship with Sydney FC, knows the match is a fantastic opportunity for his team and the Wollongong region.

“The main message is to enjoy it because nights like this don’t come around too often,” Timpano told the Illawarra Mercury, the local newspaper that has provided extensive exposure for the clash as soon as the Round of 32 draw revealed the matchup.
