FFA Cup wrap: Preliminary results

The journey to the FFA Cup Round of 32 continued in recent days with a number of Preliminary Round matches taking place around the country. 

Here's a snapshot of the results from around Australia.

NSW

Maroubra United progressed to the next round with a 5-1 win over Woy Woy, while Banksia Tigers downed Penrith Rovers 4-1. 

In a tighter affair, Carlton Rovers edged Narellan Rangers 1-0 at Nott Oval. 

SA

Western Strikers showed their class in the most recent round of the FFA Cup as they cruised to a 9-0 victory over Adelaide Thunder.

Eastern United beat Pontian Eagles SC in an extremely tight affair, while Parafield Gardens also beat Adelaide Cobras, both games ending 4-3.

Brahma Lodge SC also progressed to the next round of the Cup in a 3-2 victory away from home against Playford City.

WA

Goals were raining in FFA Cup action in the West over the weekend.

Bunbury Dynamos won 8-5 in a high scoring and entertaining game against Northern City FC, Wanneroo City beat Woodvale 7-1 and Swan United ran out 5-1 winners against Phoenix Glory.

Kelmscott Ross also progressed into the next round beating Morley SC in a much tighter game, the score finishing 2-1.
