A 'riverland derby' headlines the opening Preliminary Round fixtures in South Australia after the first draw was held.
The draw for the 2017 Westfield FFA Cup SA Preliminary Round Draw was conducted today in the Coopers Bar on Level 2 at Coopers Stadium.
This year’s competition was very well received around South Australia with 42 teams nominating to partake. The Preliminary Round features Affiliated Clubs and Associations as well as FFSA State League 2 Clubs.
Due to an uneven amount of teams, one State League 1 Club was drawn into this round as the 20th Club in the Preliminary Round draw.
Western Strikers was the Club pulled out of the State League 1 hat to feature at the earliest stage.
The headline fixture of this draw is the ‘Riverland Derby’ between Barmera United and Renmark Olympic.
