Football Australia committed to FFA Cup 2021

Football Australia today expressed its commitment to complete the FFA Cup in 2021, should it be safe to do so.

Earlier this month Football Australia advised that due to varying COVID-19 conditions, health orders and protocols across the nation, fixtures for the FFA Cup 2021 would be readvised.

Since that time, Football Australia has been monitoring the COVID-19 situation nationally and has been working to establish a series of schedules and plans that would enable the Final Rounds to commence.

Football Australia will endeavour to provide a substantial update to the football community before the end of August, however at this juncture the earliest that matches in the Round of 32 are due to commence is mid-September.

Football Australia also extends its acknowledgement to FFA Cup 2021 Final Rounds stakeholders, including Clubs, Member Federations, and Broadcast and Commercial Partners. Football stakeholders continue to work collaboratively with Football Australia to bring the FFA Cup 2021 Final Rounds to life despite the significant challenges that currently exist due COVID-19.
