Football West FFA Cup draw: Gwelup get second crack at Armadale

One of the two West Australian sides who progressed to the 2018 FFA Cup national stages will be making an early exit after Armadale and Gwelup Croatia were paired together in today’s Round Four draw.

The teams flew the flag for the state 12 months ago, resulting in a meeting in the Belt Up Cup Final at Dorrien Gardens which Armadale won 2-0.

Division One Gwelup, who put an incredible 12 goals past Albany outfit Polonia FC on Saturday, will hope home advantage gives them the edge over their NPL WA rivals on Easter Monday (April 22).

All of the National Premier Leagues clubs enter the competition at this stage, with the one all NPL tie being the derby between Sorrento and ECU Joondalup at Percy Doyle Reserve.

NPL leaders Balcatta have a home draw against State League Division Two Shamrock Rovers, Gosnells City have a plum match against Bayswater City, Inglewood United host Balga SC while NPL champions Perth SC face Morley Windmills, who hit seven against Albany Caledonia in the last round.
