After a stint in Malaysia, Nabbout returned to the Hyundai A-League in 2016 and enjoyed two highly successful seasons for the Jets, scoring 18 goals in 46 appearances.

His excellent stint in the Hunter Valley saw him rewarded with a move to J-League heavyweights Urawa Red Diamonds, and a Caltex Socceroos call-up for the FIFA 2018 World Cup, where Nabbout led the line in Group C matches against France and Denmark.

Now back at his hometown club of Melbourne - where he spent his youth career and made his professional debut in October 2012 - Nabbout's signing is exciting Victory fans, who will be eager to see him link up with Australian international teammate Robbie Kruse and Swedish target man Ola Toivonen.

The forward's first challenge will be eliminating the club that helped him establish his name as one of Australia's most exciting attacking players.
