Heidelberg United FC are pleased to announce Greece international midfielder Kostas Katsouranis will join the club for its upcoming Westfield FFA Cup Quarter Final against Melbourne City FC.
In a massive coup for the club, Katsouranis, who is a legend of the game and has represented Greece on 116 occasions, is set to run out for the yellow and black for its encounter in the last eight on Tuesday, 29 September 2015 at the historic Olympic Village (Kick-Off 8pm AEST).
Katsouranis has played for a host of European powerhouse clubs in his illustrious 20 year career including AEK Athens, Benfica, Panathinaikos and PAOK, making more than 485 appearances including internationals and scoring 85 goals.
The date of the 36 year old's arrival into Melbourne is still to be confirmed and he has expressed his excitement about the prospect of assisting Heidelberg United FC in its Westfield FFA Cup campaign.
