Keilor Wolves out to continue FFA Cup run

The FFA Cup is back in full swing for 2018 with Preliminary Round matches already taking place around the country.

Victorian State League 5 outfit Keilor Wolves won the first match of this season's competition with a convincing 4-0 qualifying round victory over Pakenham United last month.

The Wolves faced a far tougher test in their second fixture but advanced with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Mooney Valley Knights.

And remarkably, Keilor stunned State League 2 side Altona East Phoenix in Round 2 with a late goal securing a 2-1 win and progression to the third round.

Daniel Angeleski scored in stoppage time to hand the Wolves victory after earlier going behind.

Their run in the 2018 FFA Cup is their best ever in the competition.

The Wolves are one of just four remaining sides from the initial rounds.

But they are set to face their toughest test yet when they face up against State League 1 outfit North Sunshine Eagles on Friday night.

It looms as a huge obstacle for the Victorian minnows but could we see yet another Cupset?
