Kris Griffiths-Jones to officiate Westfield FFA Cup decider

Kris Griffiths-Jones will become the fourth referee to officiate a Westfield FFA Cup Final on Tuesday when he oversees the showpiece fixture between Sydney FC and Adelaide United at Allianz Stadium.

Griffiths-Jones follows Chris Beath (2014), Ben Williams (2015), and Peter Green (2016) in refereeing a Westfield FFA Cup Final.

Griffiths-Jones will be supported by Owen Goldrick (Assistant Referee 1), Lance Greenshields (Assistant Referee 2), David Walsh (Fourth Official), Chris Beath (Additional Assitant Referee 1), and Stephen Lucas (Additional Assistant Referee 2) for the Westfield FFA Cup Final 2017.

Football Federation Australia (FFA) Director of Referees, Ben Wilson, congratulated Griffiths-Jones and his assistants ahead of Tuesday’s decider. 

“I’d like to congratulate Kris Griffiths-Jones and the other five match officials on their selection for the Westfield FFA Cup Final,” said Wilson.

“Kris (Griffiths-Jones) becomes the fourth person to referee this prestigious Cup Final.

“This appointment recognises their strong performances throughout this competition in 2017.

“I wish all the match officials a successful and enjoyable match,” concluded Wilson.

Tuesday’s Westfield FFA Cup Final 2017 at Allianz Stadium kicks off at 7.30pm (AEDT).
