Northern NSW was officially the first Member Federation in the country to kick-off their Preliminary Rounds. The majority of the Preliminary Round 1 NNSWF Southern Division fixtures were held at the newly opened state of the art Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility (LMRFF) on 21 and 22 February 2015, with Round 2 taking place at LMRFF this weekend (28 February and 1 March 2015).

According to Senior Club Development Officer, Gary Fisher, the Preliminary Round 1 Draw produced a number of exciting match ups between clubs with existing local rivalries.

“With the ‘pot’ system in operation this year the draw has resulted in some fantastic rivalry matches to kick-off the NNSWF Division of the 2015 Westfield FFA Cup,” Fisher said.

Due to travel distances and time restraints, the NNSWF Preliminary Rounds of the competition is divided into two divisions, the Northern Division and the Southern Division.
