Revealed: winners of the FFA Cup 2019 Preliminary Rounds Goal of the Year

Even before the FFA Cup 2019 enter the Round of 32 phase, the competition threw up some incredible matches and jaw-dropping goals in preliminary rounds right around the country.

And ahead of the final night of Round of 32 action, the two winners of the Preliminary Rounds Goal of the Year have been revealed.

Western Australian NPL league-leaders Perth SC might have just missed out on a spot in the Round of 32 but they provided one of the goals of the competition so far.

It was scored by Paul Zimarino with this sublime volley that scorched into the top corner of the net against Balga.

While that was a special strike, so too was the one by Berwick City’s Andy Jerez.

Playing against North Caulfield, Jerez burst forward from midfield before unleashing an unstoppable drive from more than 25 metres out which ended where the spider’s live.

And with some of the best teams still alive in this year’s competition, there are sure to be plenty more cracking goals scored for the remainder of the FFA Cup in 2019.
