A spectacular 40-metre chip from hat-trick hero Jordan Rhodes sealed an epic Westfield FFA Cup win for Mandurah City in a 10-goal thriller with Joondalup City on Monday night.
Eight preliminary round matches were played in WA but the pick came at Hyundai Stadium with goals galore in a cracking Cup tie.
Mandurah got through to WA’s last round but they did it the hard way as they trailed 3-2 at the break.
Rhodes started the fight-back from the spot and then Abi Tcuono gave them the lead 4-3 before Joondalup levelled things up again.
Enter the mercurial Rhodes.
He scored a second from the penalty spot before his audacious long lob in the last five minutes sealed a memorable win.
