Ruthless Magic storm back onto national stage

Broadmeadow Magic is back on the national stage after thumping West Wallsend 13-0 to qualify for the Westfield FFA Cup round of 32.

PS4 NPL outfit Magic – who were knocked out by Brisbane Strikers in the last 32 last year – proved far too strong for the State League one Bluebells at the Lake Macquarie Football Facility on Sunday afternoon.

A brace from Kale Bradbury and goals to Ko Sangin and Dino Fajkovic gave the Magic a resounding 4-0 lead heading into the interval.

The floodgates opened in the second stanza with Fajkovic completing his hat-trick before half-time substitute Chris Berlin came on to also net a quick-fire treble.

Josh Piddington and former Newcastle Jets striker Peter Haynes netted braces to round out a comprehensive win for Magic.
