Tuesday, Wednesday Cup Semis confirmed

The details for the Westfield FFA Cup 2014 Semi Finals have been announced, with the two matches to be played across consecutive nights.

Bentleigh Greens, the solitary PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues club still in the Westfield FFA Cup, will host Perth Glory on Tuesday 11 November 2014 at Kingston Heath Soccer Complex, the venue of the Greens’ Quarter Final triumph over Adelaide City.

The other Westfield FFA Cup Semi Final between Adelaide United and the Central Coast Mariners is scheduled for Coopers Stadium on Wednesday 12 November 2014.

Both matches will kick off at 7.30pm AEDT meaning the encounter at Coopers Stadium will start at 7pm local time in Adelaide.

Bentleigh Greens will come up against Hyundai A-League opposition for the first time after they eliminated Blacktown City, Sydney Olympic and Adelaide City on their remarkable run to the last four.

Perth Glory enter the Westfield FFA Cup Semi Finals off the back of a 4-2 extra time win over Melbourne Victory in the last eight, which followed victories over the Newcastle Jets and Victorian outfit St Albans Saints.

The other Westfield FFA Cup Semi Final pits a team that has had to overcome Hyundai A-League clubs at each stage of the competition against a side that is yet to run into a Hyundai A-League opponent until now.

Adelaide United has accounted for Wellington Phoenix, Brisbane Roar and Sydney FC, while in contrast, the Central Coast Mariners defeated South Coast Wolves, Olympic FC and Palm Beach Sharks on their way to the Semi Finals.

There have already been an abundance of memorable moments in the 28 Westfield FFA Cup matches so far, and with a spot in the inaugural Cup decider on the line, the Semi Finals promise to produce more drama.
