VIC wrap: Northcote, Port Melbourne secure maiden Round of 32 spots

Victorian clubs Northcote City and Port Melbourne Sharks are set to compete in the FFA Cup Round of 32 for the first time.

Northcote scored two late goals to down Altona Magic on Wednesday night at Paisley Park.

Danny Dixon scored both goals for Northcote in the 2-0 win. 

Meanwhile, Port Melbourne was able to get past Moreland Zebras with a thrilling 4-3 win at JL Murphy Reserve.

Moreland looked set to seal a 2-1 win, but Port Melbourne scored a 96th minute equaliser to send the game into extra time.

Moreland went ahead again early in the added 30 minutes, but Port managed to find an equaliser before scoring the winner in the 111st minute.

Both sides will be making their Round of 32 debut in 2018, with the potential of hosting a Hyundai A-League side. 

The draw for the Round of 32 takes place on Tuesday, 26 June and will be broadcast LIVE on FOX SPORTS.
