Westfield FFA Cup Quarter Finals details confirmed

Football Federation Australia (FFA) today confirmed the dates, venues and kick-off times for the Westfield FFA Cup Quarter Finals, which will see the four matches played across three huge weeks.

Queensland’s Palm Beach Sharks will host the Central Coast Mariners on Tuesday 14 October in the first of the Westfield FFA Cup Quarter Finals at Cbus Super Stadium on the Gold Coast, the same venue of the Sharks’ Round of 16 triumph over South Springvale.

It will be the Mariners’ second trip to the Sunshine State in the Westfield FFA Cup after they defeated Olympic FC at the Queensland Sports and Athletic Centre in the Round of 16.

A week later the Westfield FFA Cup action moves to Allianz Stadium in Sydney for the clash between Sydney FC and Adelaide United on Tuesday 21 October. The Sky Blues were officially drawn a ‘home’ fixture for the first time following wins in Ballarat and Edensor Park in their opening two matches, while conversely it will be the Reds’ first away game having hosted Wellington Phoenix and Brisbane Roar on their way to the Westfield FFA Cup Quarter Finals.

Then on Wednesday 29 October it’s a massive double header beginning with Victorian club Bentleigh Greens against Adelaide City at Kingston Heath Soccer Complex followed by Perth Glory up against Melbourne Victory at nib Stadium in Perth. The match between Bentleigh Greens and Adelaide City will kick-off at 7.30pm AEDT before Perth Glory and Melbourne Victory commence proceedings in the west at 10.00pm AEDT (7.00pm AWST).

After two tough victories away from home, Bentleigh will enjoy being back in familiar surroundings for the visit of Adelaide City, who will be on the road for the first time in an impressive Westfield FFA Cup run that has included the scalps of Western Sydney Wanderers and Brisbane Strikers.

Melbourne Victory’s second Westfield FFA Cup trip to Western Australia, this time to face Perth Glory, also looms as a highly enticing affair as both teams have enjoyed fine results in the Cup and lead up matches to the upcoming Hyundai A-League season.

All four Westfield FFA Cup Quarter Finals will be shown LIVE and exclusively on FOX SPORTS, with the two matches on Wednesday 29 October to be shown back to back.
