Westfield FFA Cup semi-finals history

The semi-finals of the 2017 Westfield FFA Cup are locked in. South Melbourne will host Sydney FC next Wednesday with Western Sydney meeting Adelaide United on October 24.

Here's how the semi-finals played out in the first three years of the competition.

2014

A brace from Nebojsa Marinkovic guided Perth Glory to a 3-0 win over Bentleigh Greens at Kingston Heat Soccer Complex in Melbourne.

Chris Harold added a late goal to inflate the scoreline.

In an all-Hyundai A-League affair, Adelaide edged the Central Coast Mariners 3-2 in the other semi.

First half goals from Sergio Cirio and Awer Mabil had the Reds ahead before Matt Simon pulled one back just after the break.

Cirio added a second with two minutes remaining, but a late Josh Rose goal gave the Mariners hope before Adelaide moved safely through to the first Westfield FFA Cup final.

2015

Perth Glory made a second successive final with a 3-1 win over fellow Hyundai A-League side Melbourne City.

György Sándor opened the scoring but City's Matt Miller squared the ledger just before half-time.

However a Ben Garrucio own-goal and a Chris Harold strike gave Glory the win.

Hume City and Melbourne Victory met in the other semi-final at AAMI Park, with Victory eventually advancing.

Besart Berisha scored from the penalty spot before late goals from Kosta Barbarouses and Jason Geria added to the scoreline.

2016

Canberra Olympic welcomed Sydney FC to Viking Park, but the Sky Blues were far too clinical, winning 3-0 as expected.

Sebastian Ryall opened the scoring midway through the first half with Miloš Dimitrijevic and Bernie Ibini adding second half strikes.

The other semi was a blockbuster Melbourne derby with City eventually succumbing to Victory on their way to lifting the silverware.

Luke Brattan and Fernando Brandan were the goalscorers in a 2-0 win at AAMI Park.
