Westfield FFA Cup wrap: R32 MD 3

The goals rained in as four more teams confirmed their spots in the last 16 of the Westfield FFA Cup after a fabulous MD 3 on Wednesday night.

There were no fewer than 23 goals scored in the four ties, with late drama, extra-time, two hat-tricks and a massive upset.

JUBILANT JOEY SENDS MARINERS OUT

Blacktown City became the competition's latest giant-killers, knocking out Hyundai A-League side the Central Coast Mariners in a five-goal thriller.

Striker Joey Gibbs was the hero, opening the scoring with a curling free-kick before an assured left-footed finish from the edge of the penalty area late in the piece gave his side a famous 3-2 win.

BENCH COMES UP BIG FOR BAY

There was drama aplenty at Wolter Park as Moreton Bay United eventually downed Broadmeadow Magic 4-2 in extra-time.

Magic recovered from an early missed penalty to take an 18 th  minute lead before two goals in three minutes gave Moreton Bay a 2-1 advantage.

With time almost up, Broadmeadow were awarded another penalty, with Kale Bradbury converting to send the game into extra-time.

But substitutes Paul Mikula and Declan Smith headed extra-time goals to take Moreton Bay through to the last 16.

KING KYLE'S GOLDEN GOALS

Jarrod Kyle scored a hat-trick for Gold Coast City as the home side accounted for the Western Knights 3-1.

Kyle's goals took him to nine in four Westfield FFA Cup matches this year.

SKY BLUES CRUISE IN DARWIN

Darwin Rovers were no match for Hyundai A-League champions Sydney FC.

Brazilian striker Bobo scored four times in an 8-0 romp for the Sky Blues.
