10 spots are allocated to the A-League clubs, with the top 8 at the end of the regular season qualifying directly, and two qualifying via a playoff between the bottom four.

The decision to award Football Victoria one additional berth in the Final Rounds of the Australia Cup is for 2024 only. The slot will return to Football Australia in 2025.
