Bentleigh brush aside Kingston to book FFA Cup Round of 32 berth

Bentleigh Greens are through to the FFA Cup Round of 32 for the fourth time in five attempts following a comprehensive 4-0 win at Kingston City.

The NPL Victoria table-toppers encountered few problems as they led from as early as the third minute, Josh Kelly tucking home after Chris Lucas' lob came back off the bar.

Marco Jankovic rifled in a second before half-time and it was one-way traffic from there with Matt Thurtell and Velibor Mitrovic extending the margin after the interval.

Bentleigh's night was partially overshadowed by an apparent knee injury for influential midfielder Tyson Holmes, but the bad news was offset by the confirmation of their return to the national stage.

The 2014 Semi Finalists reached the Round of 16 last year and will hope to continue their proud FFA Cup record with another strong showing.

Kingston, who lost Damian Iacone to a late red card, will turn their attention back to the battle against relegation.
