Brisbane Roar strolled into the quarterfinals with an assured 5-0 victory against Sydney United 58 at Sydney United Sports Centre.

Brisbane put in a confident first-half performance, flying into a two-goal lead by halftime.

Henry Hore scored within 20 minutes, profiting from a United 58 giveaway at the back to slide a smart finish home.

Five minutes before halftime, Louis Zabala continued his strong form in this year’s Cup, picking out youngster Thomas Waddingham with a sensational cross to nod it in.

The Roar finished the job in the second half with Nikola Mileunsic scoring from close range before Jay O’Shea made no mistake from the penalty spot.

Fifteen-year-old Quinn MacNicol came off the bench to add a fifth in the final 10 minutes, rounding out a successful afternoon for Brisbane.

MacNicol made history with that goal as the youngest player to ever score in the Australia Cup final rounds at 15 years and 228 days.
