Reigning A-League champions Central Coast Mariners meet Sydney FC for the third year in a row in the Australia Cup, looking to avenge last year’s Round of 32 defeat.
The Gosford-based club come into the clash as slight favourites but will be without three key members of the successful 2022/23 season with Jason Cummings, Nectarios Triantis, Sam Silvera and Beni N'Kololo all moving abroad.
However, the return of talented forward Alou Kuol has helped soften the blow.

The Mariners fell at the first hurdle in 2022, losing on penalties after initially equalising in the last minute of stoppage time to force another 30 minutes. However, they succumbed to the dreaded penalty shootout.
Their goal this time around will be to return to the final as they did for the 2021 edition and this time go one better.
