Newcastle Olympic qualify for the FFA Cup Round of 32

Newcastle Olympic are into the FFA Cup Round of 32 for the first time following a 1-0 win over Coffs City United on Monday.

Olympic qualified for Round 7 at the end of last week after knocking out Northern NSW NPL leaders Lambton Jaffas.

And the club from Hamilton made it two wins in three days with the victory over Coffs, sealing their place in the Final Rounds.

Jed Hornery scored the only goal of the match in the 67th minute, capitalising on a loose ball in the box that wasn't cleared by the Coffs defence.

The other Northern NSW club will be decided next Wednesday June 23 when Broadmeadow Magic face Weston Workers.
