Northern NSW Football has conducted its draw for the preliminary round seven of the 2023 Australia Cup.
The draw was broadcast live on NNSWF social media channels on Tuesday afternoon.
Broadmeadow Magic will take on Maitland FC at Magic Park and Newcastle Olympic FC will host Edgeworth Eagles FC at Darling Street Oval.
Round six matches were played over the weekend, allowing eight teams to be reduced to four.
Alstonville FC 0-2 Newcastle Olympic FC
Newcastle Olympic FC left it to the final minutes of the match to snatch the win from Alstonville FC at Crawford Park on Saturday.
The score remained 0-0 in the 87th minute, with neither side able to break the deadlock and it looked like the match would be heading to extra time.
But Olympic was able to score just in time, when Joseph Langlois headed the ball into the back of the net in the 88th minute.
Olympic were still hungry for more, with Lachlan Griffiths scoring again two minutes later to seal the win for his side.
Broadmeadow Magic 5-1 Bangalow SC
Broadmeadow Magic proved too strong for Bangalow SC with a Riley Smith hat-trick sinking the visitors at Magic Park on Saturday.
Despite a strong start from the visitors, Magic broke away to claim a 5-1 victory.
Smith opened the scoring for Broadmeadow in the eighth minute of the match, but Johny Stambolieff from Banaglow was able to equalise in the 11th minute
But Sam Donnellan from Magic was able to respond a minute later, putting his side back in the driving seat.
Smith struck within two minutes, hitting the back of the net in the 55th and 56th to secure his hat-trick and the win for Magic.
Keanu Moore added salt to the wound for Bangalow, slotting a penalty in the 78th minute.
Maitland FC 6-0 Belmont Swansea United FC
Maitland FC dominate performance at Cooks Square Park on Saturday secured an impressive 6-0 over Belmont Swansea United FC.
The Magpies dominated in attack with Braedyn Crowley opening the scoring for Maitland in the 11th minute.
Charles Cox, Ty Cousins, Isaac Collins and Joseph McFayden also added their names to the score sheet for the Magpies, with BelSwans unable to respond.
Edgeworth Eagles FC 3-1 Lambton Jaffas FC
A late own goal from Lambton Jaffas FC allowed Edgeworth Eagles FC to steal a 3-1 win in extra time at Jack McLaughlan Oval on Saturday.
Jaffas were confident that they had done enough to secure the victory after Kale Bradbery hit the back of the net in the 85th minute and Edgeworth had squandered two penalty attempts in the 90th minute.
But in the 94th minute, Jaffas’ Reece Papas gave the Eagles a lifeline, scoring an own goal to put the match into extra time.
Edgeworth were able to capitalise on their good fortune and take the lead after Sascha Montefiore scored in the 99th minute.
Joe Melmeth put the game to bed for the Eagles, scoring in the 118th minute.
