Moreton Bay scored twice in extra-time to seal a thrilling 4-2 win over Broadmeadow Magic in the Westfield FFA Cup Round of 32 on Wednesday night.

Late goals, 120 absorbing minutes and one thrilling Westfield FFA Cup tie. The #MagicoftheCup was on show in the Round of 32 clash between Moreton Bay United and Broadmeadow Magic.

Over 1,000 spectators packed in to Wolter Park at Albany Creek and watched the PS4 NPL Northern NSW visitors start strongly, despite having an early penalty save from Jets keeper Jordan Thurtell.

Magic youngster Dino Fajkovic opened the scoring soon after though, sliding the ball past an oncoming Thurtell to give his side the 1-0 lead.

It’s an advantage they held for almost an hour before the hosts equalised through skipper Alex Janovski from the penalty spot.

Two minutes later, Moreton Bay took the lead after a sweet strike from super-sub Lachlan Strogusz.

It seemed like the PS4 NPL Queensland club would hold on for victory until Magic won another penalty, which was this time converted to send the match to extra-time.

Magic went down to 10 men in the 98th minute and it handed the initiative to the hosts, who scored twice in the second half of extra-time to seal a famous win.
