SA cracker for final Westfield FFA Cup spot

The final spot in the Westfield FFA Cup round of 32 will be decided on Sunday with a battle between two heavyweights of the South Australian PS4 NPL.

Damien Mori’s Adelaide City come up against Croydon Kings at Elite Systems Football Centre in the very last preliminary round clash before next week’s main draw.

City has shown over the last year they are adept to cut-throat Cup football.

They produced the eye-catching result of the inaugural Westfield FFA Cup and are still the only regional club to have beaten Hyundai A-League opposition.

City’s 1-0 triumph over Western Sydney Wanderers FC – thanks to Thomas Love’s stunning solo goal – will go down in Cup folklore.

It was the start of an epic run to the quarter-finals for the ex-NSL powerhouse, only beaten by fellow giant-killers Bentleigh Greens.
