Tassie Cup drama as South Hobart progress

A 10-man South Hobart scored in the 19th minute of extra-time to snatch a memorable Westfield FFA Cup win on a bumper Easter Monday of preliminary matches where goals flowed just as they've done across the country.

There were dramatic scenes at Darcy Street where South emerged 2-1 winners over Devonport Strikers after extra-time.

South Hobart had to work hard for it though, going ahead inside 10 minutes through Darcy Hall before seeing Ben Hamlett sent off early in the second half.

The striker capitalised on their numerical advantage to equalise through Michael Holden to send the contest to extra-time.

But it was Alex Walter who was the hero.
