Under siege in the opening 30 minutes, Brimbank Stallions goalkeeper Alex Carias produced a host of top drawer saves that would not be out of place in the world’s best leagues.
Finding himself in the thick of the action in the opening half of the Cup tie against the Peninsula Strikers, the Brimbank gloveman put on an early masterclass to keep his side in their Round 2 contest.
Carias denied the hosts time and again in a stellar 30 minute performance, constantly wowing those watching at the ground.
Unfortunately for Carias and Brimbank, his heroics were not enough as the Strikers prevailed 2-0 to end the Stallions’ Cup run.
