A clash between Northern NSW NPL heavyweights Lambton Jaffas and Broadmeadow Magic highlight the Round 5 match-ups after the draw for the next round of FFA Cup Southern Conference fixtures.
There are 12 teams remaining from the National Premier Leagues Northern NSW (NPL NNSW), NEWFM Northern League One (NL1) and Zone Premier League (ZPL).
NEWFM NL1 sides Kahibah FC and Cessnock City Hornets, both pulled off stunning upsets against Adamstown Rosebud and Lake Macquarie City, and in Round 5, they’ll be facing off with one another confirming that there will be one NEWFM NL1 club to feature in the State Qualifiers.
The upcoming round will also feature multiple NPL NNSW v NPL NNSW matches including the heavyweight battle between Lambton and Broadmeadow.
Maitland and Charlestown City Blues will also take on each other, as will Weston Bears and Valentine Phoenix – who all progressed with Round 4 wins over lower league teams.
The other two matches will see teams in different leagues playing one another which includes the only non-Premier Competition team, Warners Bay, hosting Hamilton Olympic while NEWFM NL1 side New Lambton will also host an NPL NNSW club, Edgeworth Eagles.
Matches are scheduled to be played midweek of the week starting on May 20th and ending on May 26th.
The six winners from the Round 5 will meet the two successful teams from the Northern Conference - Boambee Bombers and Bangalow Bluedogs - at Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility in the State Qualifiers on the June long weekend, 8th – 10th.
